to keep our focus and motivation on a high note. While it may seem difficult to keep yourself going, there are certain factors which can help you keep things on track
COMMUNITY
The number one factor in our life that will affect our motivation on a daily basis, whether we are talking about our spiritual path or our daily the situation, is the community we live in, there is noting more inspiring in this ratio. There is nothing more inspiring in this world than finding a set of good people who will stand by you through thick and thin.
DAILY PRACTICE
It is very important to include something in your life which you follow on daily basis. Whenever you are able to sustain a regular daily practice, your motivation is also sustained. It is very difficult to follow your
path without the supporting energy of your practice.
FAMILIAR SURROUNDING
Familiar surroundings are both internal and external. If your mental landscape has consistency, your outer life situation will have consistency. Like elite sports, people have triggers and routines that help them get into the ‘’zone”. As a common person, it is helpful to have similar habits of your own that help you reconnect each day to your daily path. And this ideally is an internally familiar surrounding. But having
familiar external surrounding can be helpful too.
INSPIRATIONAL IMAGES
Inspirational images are something that is very helpful to maintain our focus and motivation. You could have any image that inspires you. Mountains (like the Himalayas or Mount Kailash), oceans, rivers, sunrises or it could be animals or even cars and bikes and computer. It really doesn’t matter what the images is, just that it triggers your spiritual inspirations and nurtures your soul immensely.
HEALTHY DIET
This one’s very important because a healthy diet helps maintain your equilibrium. It keeps your body functioning properly and also strengthens your immune system.
EXERCISE
A well-organised exercise regime is as important as a healthy diet--for healthy mind.
COMPLEMENTARY PRACTICES
There are lots of other alternative practices which we can follow to be motivated. Take up some hobby which really excites you or take up a class which will rejuvenate you.
VARIETY
Some people say variety is the spice of life. There is fine balance that needs to be struck between changing things to keeps our energy flowing and our enthusiasm high and just making changes for their own sake. Motivation dies out when we lead monotonous lives. It is when we introduce variety and change in our life that we are able to be enthusiastic and also enjoy life.
SLEEP
One of the biggest factors that have emerged in modern health is the vast benefits of getting adequate sleep. Sleep is very essential in order to get a healthy start to your day.
TAKE A BREAK
It is essential to take a break from the routines of life. Watch your favourite show on television. Go for a walk. Watch a movie or simply hung around with your friends at a coffee shop.
